Bahra College of Law and Bahra Institute of Pharmacy proudly celebrated International Women’s Day and a Prize Distribution Function with great enthusiasm, highlighting the theme of women’s empowerment and mental well-being.
The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Gurpreet Pannu from the Department of Law, Punjabi University, Patiala, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Ruchi Chibber, a renowned psychotherapist, as the Special Guest.
The celebration began with an inspiring welcome speech by Ms. Baljinder Kaur (Vice-Principal). Students showcased their talents through choreography, group dances, speeches, and a skit, emphasizing women’s rights, equality, and mental health awareness.
Prof. (Dr.) Gurpreet Pannu spoke about the significant role of women in shaping society and the need for equal opportunities, while Ms. Ruchi Chibber shared valuable insights on mental well-being and self-care, encouraging women to prioritize their mental health.
Campus Director Dr. Sanjiv Kumar and Patron S. Pritam Singh Johal expressed their gratitude to the esteemed guests for their presence and support.
Prizes were awarded to students for their outstanding performance in various subjects and disciplines. The winners were honored with certificates and trophies as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by HoD Ms. Kalindi Madaan, who acknowledged the contributions of women across various fields and reinforced the institution’s commitment to gender equality.
